Regarding video conferencing resources and practices, focus on the perspective of users/potential users, including an individual faculty member, administrator or staff person, or, a group, including a class unit, or, a department/unit.
While maintaining a focus on video conferencing, the committee will also add to the mix other technologies viable for the conduct of distance communications.
Investigate ways that hurdles to distance technologies may be lower so that the potential in distance communications is more widely understood, and, in appropriate instances, utilized to support the mission of the University.
Deliverables and Deadlines:
Create a chart to assist a person interested in distance communications to sort out basic choice factors for people within the UGA community. Deadline, Monday, June 8, 2009

Organize, update, and reconsider the appropriate availability of how-to user information for any distance communications technology recommended by the committee. Deadline, Monday, July 28, 2009
